What goes on a bar or bat mitzvah dessert table
A mitzvah party usually runs long, the kids are moving all night, and the dessert table has to survive four hours of hands. What works is three or four treat types in the same two colors, set at different heights, with the name showing on at least one of them.
- Decorated Oreos hold hand lettering better than anything else. The name, the date, or Mazel Tov in a clean script.
- Pretzel rods give the table height in a jar or a stand, and the salty bite keeps the adults picking at them.
- Cake pops are the first thing the kids grab. Order more than you think.
- Cakesicles are the centerpiece piece. One or two dozen is usually enough.
- Jumbo marshmallows and rice krispie treats fill space and cost the least per piece, so they carry the volume.
Building the whole spread? The dessert table guide covers layout and height.
Colors that show up well
Navy and silver is the most requested bar mitzvah palette on Staten Island, followed by black and gold. For a bat mitzvah it is usually blush and gold, lavender and silver, or hot pink and white. Two colors plus one metallic reads sharp in photos. Four or five colors turns muddy under party lighting, so pick two and let the shapes do the rest.
How many treats for a bar or bat mitzvah
- 30 to 40 guests: the Classic package at $225, four dozen across four treat types.
- 60 to 80 guests: the Deluxe package at $325, eight dozen total.
- 100 guests and up: Deluxe plus two to three extra dozen, and a dozen cakesicles for the center.
If the venue is already serving cake or a Viennese table, one to two pieces per guest is plenty. If these treats are the dessert, plan on three per guest. There is a full breakdown on the how many treats per person page.

Names, dates and party logos
Hand lettering is included. The name, the party date, initials, or Mazel Tov go straight onto the Oreos and cakesicles at no extra charge. If your party has a designed logo from the invitation suite, that gets printed as edible photo printing and adds $10 to $15 a dozen. Send the file as a PNG or a JPG and it prints clean. Photos of the guest of honor print well too, which is a nice touch on the candle lighting table.
Favors to hand out at the door
A lot of mitzvah parties send guests home with something small. Two individually wrapped Oreos tied with a ribbon and a printed tag runs about $7.50 a pair at the $45 a dozen price, so 100 favors lands near $375. A single pretzel rod per bag is the cheaper version at roughly $3.35 each. Both get bagged and sealed so they hold for days on a counter.
Kosher and allergy notes
Being straight about it: Sprinkled Sweets is a home kitchen on Staten Island, not a kosher certified facility, and the ingredients are not under supervision. Nuts, dairy and wheat are all handled in the same space. If your celebration requires certified kosher desserts or a nut free guarantee, a certified bakery is the right choice and I will say so up front.
Timing
Two to three weeks ahead is the sweet spot. Spring and fall weekends book first. Everything is made fresh close to your date and picked up on Staten Island the day before or the morning of, packed so nothing slides on the ride to the venue.
