Why treats work for an engagement party
An engagement party sits between the proposal and the wedding, so the sweets get to do something the cake alone cannot. They can carry the couple's initials, the ring, the date they set, or a line like She Said Yes, and they preview the color palette the couple plans to carry all the way through the shower and the wedding. Guests see the same blush and gold or the same sage and cream three times before the big day, and it all starts here.
The other reason treats fit is the format of the party itself. Engagement parties are often at a house, a backyard, or a small hall, with people standing, drinking, and talking rather than sitting for a plated dessert. A treat table lets guests grab something sweet in one hand and keep mingling.
What goes on an engagement treat table
The display that photographs best and feeds a crowd is three or four treat types in the same two colors. Variety in shape, not in palette. Pick the couple's colors, then let each treat play a different role.

- Cake pops read as the fun item and go first at a standing party.
- Pretzel rods give you height in the display and the salty note that balances all the sweet.

- Jumbo marshmallows and rice krispie treats fill the table and cost less per piece, so they stretch a bigger guest list.
If you want an engagement photo on the treats, that is edible photo printing and it adds $10 to $15 a dozen. The proposal shot or a favorite couple photo prints cleanly on Oreos.
How many treats for an engagement party
- 20 to 25 guests: about three dozen total across two or three treat types.
- 30 to 40 guests: the Classic package at $225, four dozen across four types.
- 60 guests and up: the Deluxe package at $325, plus a dozen cakesicles as the centerpiece.

Most couples pull their engagement treats from the same palette they will use for the wedding. That way the sweets are a preview, not a one off. Send me your two main colors and any accent, and I match the dipping and the drizzle to them. Timing
Two to three weeks ahead is the sweet spot for an engagement party. Treats are made fresh close to your date and picked up on Staten Island the day before or the morning of. - Pick up on Staten Island. Trays are packed so nothing shifts on the ride to your venue.
