Sprinkled Sweets makes adoption day treats on Staten Island for finalization parties, welcome home celebrations and gotcha day anniversaries. Hand decorated Oreos, pretzel rods, rice krispie treats, jumbo marshmallows, cake pops and cakesicles start at $40 a dozen, and party packages start at $150. Order two to three weeks ahead and pick up locally on Staten Island.
Three different days people order for
Adoption is not one party. Families on Staten Island usually call about one of three days, and each one wants a different size order.
- Finalization day at the courthouse. Small and same day. One or two dozen in a flat box that rides in a tote bag, handed out to the judge's staff, the caseworker and the grandparents who came along. Two dozen covers it.
- The welcome home party. The real party, a week or two later, with 30 to 60 people in a backyard or a rented hall. This is the full table with three or four treat types.
- The gotcha day anniversary. A single dozen every year on the same date, in the same colors as year one. Quiet, at home, just the family.
Tell me which of the three you are planning and the quote comes back sized for it instead of sized for a generic party.
What to put on them
Wording matters more here than on most orders. The lines that get ordered most:
- The child's first name, on its own, in script.
- The finalization date, written out as a month and a year.
- Officially Ours or Forever Family across a row of Oreos.
- Welcome Home for the party after.
- Gotcha Day and the year, for the anniversary dozen.
Hand lettering on custom Oreos and cakesicles is included at no extra charge, so a mixed tray with four or five different phrases costs the same as a tray that all says one thing. If part of the story is private, one option families use often is a name only tray for guests and a separate half dozen with the date on it kept for the family.
Colors and photos
Most of these orders land on soft neutrals, sage and cream, or the child's favorite color if they are old enough to have one. If there is a sibling already in the house, matching the older child's birthday palette is a small thing that reads well in photos.
For a photo of the courthouse steps, the whole family, or a hand drawn family crest, that is edible photo printing and it adds $10 to $15 a dozen. Bright, close up photos print sharpest.
How many treats you need
- Courthouse day, 10 to 15 people: one to two dozen, one or two treat types.
- 30 to 40 guests: the Classic package at $225, four dozen across four types.
- 60 guests and up: the Deluxe package at $325, plus a dozen cakesicles as the centerpiece.
If there is a cake as well, plan on one to two pieces a guest. If the treats are the whole dessert table, plan on three. There is more on head count math in the treats per person guide.

Timing, and what to do about a moving court date
Two to three weeks ahead is the normal lead time. Adoption is the one occasion where the date genuinely moves, so here is how it gets handled: text me the week you expect and I hold it. Decorating happens in the last few days before pickup, so a date that shifts by a week inside that window is not a problem as long as I know. A finalization that gets pushed a month is a rebook, not a lost retainer.
Treats are made fresh close to your date and stay good about two weeks in a cool, dry spot, out of the refrigerator. Pickup is on Staten Island the day before or the morning of.
