Sprinkled Sweets makes welcome home party treats on Staten Island for military homecomings, hospital discharges, a college kid moving back and anyone landing at Newark after a long time away. Decorated Oreos, pretzel rods, rice krispie treats, jumbo marshmallows, cake pops and cakesicles start at $40 a dozen, packages start at $150, and pickup is local on Staten Island.
Why a welcome home table works better than a cake
Welcome home parties run on a schedule nobody controls. Flights slip, discharge paperwork takes an extra day, the drive from the airport hits traffic on the Verrazzano. A sheet cake sitting out for six hours does not survive that. Individually wrapped treats do. They sit on the table looking finished at 2pm and still look finished at 8pm, and people who came and went in shifts can grab one on the way out.
Guests also arrive in waves at a homecoming. Grandparents early, cousins after work, the neighbor who saw the cars. A treat table feeds a moving crowd better than one cake cut at a single moment.
What to put on the table
- Custom Oreos hold lettering best. "Welcome Home," a name, a date, or the number of months away.
- Pretzel rods in red, white and blue give the table height and the salty note that balances everything else.
- Rice krispie treats are the value piece. They fill the table and kids finish them first.
- Jumbo marshmallows take a printed photo or a small emblem cleanly and look bigger than they cost.
- Cakesicles or cake pops as the centerpiece. One dozen is usually enough to anchor the display.
Colors and lettering that actually fit the occasion
Three directions cover almost every welcome home order I get on Staten Island.
- Military homecoming: red, white and blue, or the branch colors. Navy and gold, Army green and black, Marine scarlet and gold. Unit patch or rank insignia printed on a few pieces, hand lettering on the rest.
- Home from the hospital: softer palette. Sage and cream, blush and gold. "So glad you are home" reads warmer than anything with balloons on it.
- Back from college or a long trip: school colors or the flag of wherever they were. Photo printing shines here because you have a year of pictures to pick from.
Names, dates and short phrases are hand lettered at no extra charge. A real photograph is edible photo printing and adds $10 to $15 a dozen.
How many treats to order
- 15 to 20 guests: two dozen across two types, or the Petite package at $150.
- 30 to 40 guests: the Classic package at $225, four dozen across four types.
- 60 guests and up: the Deluxe package at $325, plus a dozen cakesicles as the centerpiece.
Two to three pieces per guest is the working number when treats are the whole dessert. If there is also a cake, one to two per guest is plenty. More detail on the per guest counts page.

Planning around a date that might move
This is what makes welcome home orders different. You often do not have a firm date.
Book on the date you expect and text me the second it changes. Sealed and stored right, most of these hold four to seven days, so a two or three day slip is not a problem. Oreos, pretzel rods and marshmallows are the most forgiving. Cake pops and cakesicles are the least, so if the date is genuinely uncertain I will weight the order toward the sturdier items and we add the centerpiece once the flight is confirmed. The storage and freshness guide has the shelf life for each type.
If the whole thing is short notice, do not assume it is too late. See last minute orders and text me the date.
Making it easy to hand out
Half of a welcome home party happens standing up. Individually wrapped pieces are worth it here. People take one for the ride home, kids carry them around the yard, and anyone who could not stay leaves with something. If the party is at a hall or a park, wrapped treats travel without a cooler and set up in about ten minutes on a rented table.
How ordering works
- Send your details. Use the order builder, text 718-715-5740, or DM @sprinkledsweetsxo. Give me the date, the colors, and roughly how many people.
- I send a quote. You see the exact total before anything is due.
- A 50% retainer holds the date. Venmo, Zelle, or cash. The balance is due at pickup.
- Pick up on Staten Island. Trays are packed so nothing shifts on the ride home.
Payment
Venmo at @jennine-pece, Zelle to 718-715-5740, or cash at pickup. A 50% retainer reserves your date and the rest is due when you pick up. See the full payment options.
