Easter Treats on Staten Island

Pastel Oreos, bunny and egg cake pops, and dipped pretzel rods for the baskets, the table, and the church breakfast.

The short answer

Sprinkled Sweets makes custom Easter treats on Staten Island: hand decorated Oreos, cake pops, cakesicles, pretzel rods, rice krispie treats, and jumbo marshmallows in pastel colors. Pricing starts at $40 a dozen and Easter packages start at $150. Two dozen fills a few baskets, four dozen covers Easter dinner for 30 to 40 people. Order two to three weeks ahead and pick up on Staten Island.

What Easter treats actually get eaten

Easter dessert is usually a pile of things nobody planned together. Someone brings a ricotta pie, someone brings a box of cookies from the bakery, and there is a chocolate bunny on the counter that nobody touches. Decorated treats fill the gap because they are single serve, they look like the holiday, and kids will eat them before they go anywhere near the pie.

Baskets or the dessert table

These are two different orders and it helps to say which one you want up front.

Basket treats

Individually wrapped and tied with ribbon so each one sits upright in the plastic grass and survives being carried around. A dozen usually stretches across three or four baskets if you put one Oreo, one pretzel rod, and one marshmallow in each. Godparents and grandparents tend to order two or three dozen and split them.

Table treats

Same treats, arranged on a tray or a tiered stand instead of wrapped. If you are building a full spread, the dessert table guide walks through the layout and the counts.

How many to order

If there is already a pie and a cake on the table, one to two pieces per person is right. If the treats are the whole dessert, plan on three. There is a full breakdown on the per guest counts page.

Colors and designs

The pastel five do most of the work: soft pink, mint, lavender, butter yellow, and white. Pick two of them and let the shapes carry the variety. A speckled egg finish looks best in mint or robin blue. Bunny faces read better in white with pink ears than in a dark color.

For a more grown up table, sage and cream with gold sprinkles looks like spring without looking like a kid party. For a church breakfast or a religious spread, plain white with a hand lettered cross and a gold edge is the usual request.

If you want a family photo or a first Easter picture on the treats, that is edible photo printing and it adds $10 to $15 a dozen.

Timing around Holy Week

Two to three weeks ahead. The ten days before Easter Sunday are the tightest stretch of the spring next to communion season, and Good Friday and Holy Saturday pickups go first. Treats are made fresh close to your date. Most people pick up Saturday morning so everything is ready for Sunday. They keep about a week at room temperature, and the storage guide covers what to refrigerate.

Common questions

How much do Easter treats cost on Staten Island?
Easter treats from Sprinkled Sweets start at $40 a dozen for pretzel rods and $45 a dozen for custom Oreos and rice krispie treats. Jumbo marshmallows run $45 to $55 depending on the design. Easter packages are $150, $225, and $325.
How many Easter treats do I need?
For a family Easter dinner of 15 to 20 people, two to three dozen is plenty next to the pie and the cookies. For 30 to 40, the Classic package at $225 covers it. For a church breakfast or a big extended family of 60 or more, the Deluxe package at $325 works.
Can you make treats for Easter baskets?
Yes. Basket treats are individually wrapped and tied so they sit upright in the grass. Most people order one dozen per three or four baskets, mixing a decorated Oreo, a pretzel rod, and a marshmallow into each one.
What Easter designs do you make?
Bunny faces, carrots, speckled eggs, chicks, crosses, and plain pastel with sprinkles. Colors are usually soft pink, mint, lavender, butter yellow, and white, or a more grown up sage and cream for the adult table.
How far ahead should I order Easter treats?
Two to three weeks before Easter Sunday. Holy Week is one of the busiest stretches of the year alongside communion season, so the last ten days fill up fast. Text 718-715-5740 if your date is closer than that and I will tell you what is still open.
Do Easter treats hold up sitting out on the table?
Yes. Decorated Oreos, pretzel rods, rice krispie treats, and marshmallows all sit out at room temperature for the length of a dinner and stay good for about a week. Cakesicles and cake pops do better kept cool until an hour before you serve them.
