Halloween designs that photograph well
October gives you a color story that already works: orange, black, and a little purple. Pick two or three treat shapes and keep the palette tight, and the tray looks planned instead of thrown together. The design lives in the finish, ghost faces on marshmallows, spider webs piped over black Oreos, candy corn stripes on pretzel rods.
- Decorated Oreos take a face best. Ghosts, pumpkins, black cats, and mummy wraps all read clearly on that flat surface.
- Cake pops turn into little pumpkins and monster faces, and kids reach for them first.

- Jumbo marshmallows are the easiest ghost of all, one face and they are done.

Cute for kids or classy for adults
Two very different Halloween tables come out of the same kitchen. For a kid party or a class handout, go bright: smiling pumpkins, friendly ghosts, googly monster eyes. For an adult Halloween party, drop the orange and go black, gold, and deep purple with skulls, bats, and spider webs. If you want a photo of a costume or a pet in a costume on the treats, that is edible photo printing and it adds $10 to $15 a dozen.
How many Halloween treats to order
- Class party, 20 to 25 kids: two dozen individually wrapped, so every child gets one with a few to spare.
- House party, 30 to 40 guests: the Classic package at $225, four dozen across four types.
- Block party or big bash, 60 and up: the Deluxe package at $325, plus a dozen cakesicles as the centerpiece.

Wrapped for handouts
Class parties, office desks, and front porch handouts all call for treats you can pass out one at a time. Oreos, pretzel rods, and rice krispie treats are individually wrapped and tied, so they travel well and stay clean in a kid's hand. Tell me it is for a classroom and I will count for the exact class size so nobody gets left out.
Timing for October
Two to three weeks ahead is the sweet spot, and for Halloween that means locking your date in early October or late September. The last two weeks of October fill up fast because class parties, block parties, and house parties all land in the same stretch.
