Last Minute Treat Orders on Staten Island

A date snuck up on you. Here is what is possible on short notice, what to order, and how fast you can pick it up.

The short answer

The normal lead time for custom treats is two to three weeks, but short notice dates do open up on Staten Island when the calendar allows. There is no rush fee. Text 718-715-5740 with your date and I will tell you within the hour if I can fit it in. Prices stay the same, from $40 a dozen, and pickup is local.

How last minute really works

Every week has a shape. Some weeks are packed with communions, showers, and birthdays back to back, and some weeks have a quiet Tuesday with room to spare. A rush order is not a fixed rule, it is a question of what is already booked. That is why the honest first step is a text, not a form. Send me the date and I will look at the week and give you a straight yes or no fast.

When the answer is yes, a few days out is often enough for the treats that turn around quickly. When it is a same day or next day request, the answer is usually no, because the treats are hand dipped and decorated and each one needs time to set. The closer you are to the date, the simpler the order needs to be.

What is fast, what is not

Some treats are quick to make and some need real lead time. If you are ordering on short notice, lean toward the top of this list.

Sticking to two treat types in two colors is the single best thing you can do to make a short notice order work. Variety in shape, not in palette.

Rush order pricing

There is no separate rush fee. A last minute order costs the same as one booked a month out.

How many to order when you are short on time

Keep the count simple so the order stays fast. These are the same per guest numbers from the full treats per person guide.

If there is a cake too, treats are extra and you can order lighter. If the treats are the whole dessert, plan on three pieces a guest.

Good picks for a rush

Custom Oreos are the workhorse of a last minute order. A name, a date, or a monogram in two colors reads clean and comes together fast. Pretzel rods add height to the tray and the salty note adults come back for. If you want the whole look to feel finished, a small dessert table of two or three treat types in one palette photographs beautifully and does not need a dozen different items to look full.

Getting it home fresh

Rush orders are made fresh right before pickup, so freshness is rarely the issue. Trays are packed so nothing shifts on the ride home. If you are picking up the day before, keep the treats cool and out of direct sun. The storage and freshness guide covers how long each treat holds and what to refrigerate.
