Father's Day Treats on Staten Island

A gift box for Dad, or a full tray for the backyard, decorated in his colors and picked up local.

The short answer

Sprinkled Sweets makes Father's Day treats on Staten Island: hand decorated Oreos, pretzel rods, rice krispie treats, and jumbo marshmallows done in his colors, his team, or his logo. A one dozen gift box starts at $40, packages start at $150, and a printed photo of the kids adds $10 to $15 a dozen. Order two to three weeks ahead and pick up on Staten Island.

Two ways people order for Father's Day

Almost every Father's Day order lands in one of two shapes, and the price is very different, so it helps to know which one you are asking about before you text me.

Plenty of families do both: a small box that is only his, plus a tray everyone else picks at.

What men actually eat off a treat table

I have watched enough parties to notice the pattern. The pretzel rods go first at a Father's Day barbecue, every time. Salty and sweet together, easy to hold while the grill is going. Rice krispie treats are second. The delicate items move slower with this crowd.

So the mix I recommend for June is heavier on pretzel rods and rice krispie treats, with a dozen decorated Oreos carrying the words and the photo. Cakesicles are gorgeous but they are not usually the thing that empties first at this particular party.

Putting his face, his boat, or his logo on them

The treats that get the biggest reaction are the ones with an actual picture on them. Edible photo printing adds $10 to $15 per dozen and prints right onto the treat. Things people have sent me for Father's Day orders: a photo of the kids on the beach, his fishing boat, the truck he restored, a company logo, an old picture of him with his own father.

If you want words instead, hand lettering is included. Dad, Papa, Poppy, Nonno, Grandpa, Best Dad Ever, or an inside joke only your family gets. Custom Oreos hold lettering the cleanest because the surface is flat.

How many treats for a Father's Day barbecue

Two pieces per person is right if there is cake or ice cream out too. Go to three per person if the treats are the only dessert. June barbecues run long, so people come back to the table more than once.

Colors that read as Father's Day

Skip pastels here. The palettes that photograph best for June are navy and white, black and gold, hunter green and cream, or straight team colors. If he is a Yankees guy, navy and white with a pinstripe drizzle. Mets, orange and blue. Firehouse or precinct orders come in red, black, and gold and those go over well at a house party too.

Timing

Father's Day is the third Sunday in June. Two to three weeks of lead time is standard, which puts the safe cutoff in the first week of June. That stretch of the calendar is already busy with graduations and communions, so the earlier you lock the date the better your choice of pickup times. If you are reading this the same week you need it, text me anyway and I will tell you honestly what is still possible.

Handling the other parent in May too? The Mother's Day guide covers that side.
