Sprinkled Sweets makes custom pretzel rods on Staten Island for $40 a dozen, the lowest price on the menu. Each rod is hand dipped in your party colors and finished with sprinkles, drizzle, or hand lettering, at no extra charge. Plan on one to two per guest, order two to three weeks ahead, and pick up locally on Staten Island.
Why pretzel rods end up on almost every order
People name the pretty treats first. Then the table gets built and the pretzel rods are the ones that empty out, and it is not because of the decoration.
A pretzel rod is salty. Everything else on the table is sugar on sugar. After two Oreos and a cake pop, the salty one is what a guest reaches for, and that is the piece that keeps adults at the dessert table.
It is also the only treat that stands up. Six inches of height in a mason jar gives the display a top line, and a table without one photographs flat no matter how good the treats are.
What $40 a dozen actually gets you
At $40 a dozen, pretzel rods are the least expensive item on the Sprinkled Sweets menu, and the price is the same whether the design is one color or four. The following are all included:
- Any color you want. Party colors, school colors, team colors, wedding colors. Color matching is free.
- Sprinkles, nonpareils, and sanding sugar pressed on while the coating is still wet.
- A contrast drizzle in a second color, which is what gives a rod that finished bakery look.
- Short hand lettering. A name, initials, an age, or a word like Congrats fits on a rod.
- Individual wrapping with a ribbon or a tag, so every rod doubles as a favor.
The one thing that costs extra is edible photo printing. A full logo or a photograph does not lend itself to a narrow curved surface, so it goes on as a printed disc or a small square applied to the rod, and that adds $10 to $15 per dozen.
How many pretzel rods to order
Pretzel rods are the supporting item, so the count runs lower than a strict per-guest rule.
- 20 guests: two dozen rods alongside two dozen of something else.
- 40 guests: three to four dozen. This is the Classic package range at $225.
- 60 to 70 guests: six dozen, or the Deluxe package at $325 which includes two dozen rods plus three other treats.
- Favor bags, one per person: match the head count exactly and add two or three spares.
If pretzel rods are the entire dessert, which happens at office parties and sports banquets, move to three per guest. The full breakdown by head count lives on the how many treats per person guide.

Keeping them crisp
A pretzel rod has one enemy and it is moisture. Wrapped rods hold their snap for about two weeks at room temperature on a counter or in a cabinet. Three things to avoid:
- The refrigerator. Cold air pulls moisture into the pretzel and you get a soft, bendy rod within a day.
- A hot car or a sunny window. The coating softens and the sprinkles slide. In August, go straight from pickup to air conditioning.
- An unsealed container. Leave the individual wrapping on until the rods go out on the table.
More on shelf life for every treat type is in the treat storage and freshness guide.
Where pretzel rods do the most work
Classroom parties and bake sale tables want a wrapped, one per kid item, and at roughly $3.33 a piece the rods leave room to price them for a fundraiser. Team banquets and end of season parties want jersey numbers, and a rod holds a number cleanly. Grand openings want a handout people carry in one hand.
Timing
Two to three weeks of notice is standard, and 6 to 8 weeks for wedding favor counts. Pretzel rods turn around fast because there is no baking step, so if a date is close, text 718-715-5740 and ask.
