Pet Birthday Party Treats on Staten Island

Paw print Oreos, bone shaped pretzel rods and your pet's face on the tray, made for the people at the party.

The short answer

Sprinkled Sweets makes custom treats for pet birthday parties on Staten Island: paw print Oreos, bone shaped pretzel rods, rice krispie treats and jumbo marshmallows in your party colors, plus your pet's photo printed on top. Pricing starts at $40 a dozen and packages start at $150. The treats are made for the people at the party, not for the animals. Order two to three weeks ahead and pick up locally on Staten Island.

Read this part first

Every treat on this page is a people treat. Chocolate is not safe for dogs or cats, and neither are most of the sprinkles and candy melts that go on a decorated tray. So the setup is simple: the human guests get the tray, and your dog or cat gets a toy, a bandana, or something from a bakery that makes food for animals. Put the tray on a table high enough that nobody can reach it with a snout, and tell the kids not to share.

What people order for a dog or cat birthday

Most of these orders are a rescue anniversary, a first birthday for a puppy or kitten, or a milestone like a tenth birthday. The tray follows the same rule as any other party: two or three treat types, one color story, and the pet's name on at least one of them.

Putting your pet's face on the treats

This is the request I get most for pet parties, and it is edible photo printing, which adds $10 to $15 a dozen. The photo is printed on an edible sheet and applied by hand. What prints well: a bright, in focus shot with the face filling most of the frame and a simple background. What does not: a dark photo of a black dog on a dark couch, or a full body shot from ten feet away where the face ends up the size of a pencil eraser.

The best looking tray puts the face on one item and lettering on the rest: a dozen photo rice krispie treats plus two dozen hand decorated custom Oreos.

How many treats for a pet party

Count humans, not animals. Two to three pieces per person is the number that works, and it goes up if the treats are the only dessert. There is more on this in the guide to how many treats per person.

Colors and designs that hold up

Pull the palette from the pet. A golden retriever party in caramel, cream and gold. A black cat party in black, white and a hit of emerald. Designs asked for over and over: paw prints, bones, a collar with a name tag, fish and yarn balls for cats.

Names, ages and short phrases are hand decorated at no extra charge. Happy Gotcha Day, Adopted 2019, and Still A Good Boy all fit on an Oreo.

Timing

Common questions

How much do pet birthday party treats cost on Staten Island?
Pet party treats from Sprinkled Sweets start at $40 a dozen for pretzel rods and $45 a dozen for custom Oreos and rice krispie treats. The Petite package at $150 covers a small backyard party for 12 to 15 people.
Are these treats safe for my dog to eat?
No. Every treat is made for people. Chocolate, xylitol free or not, is not safe for dogs or cats, so the tray belongs on a table the animals cannot reach. Guests eat the treats and your pet gets a toy or a bakery item made for animals.
Can you print my dog's face on the treats?
Yes. Edible photo printing puts your pet's photo on Oreos or rice krispie treats and adds $10 to $15 per dozen. Send a clear, well lit photo with the face filling most of the frame.
How many treats do I need for a pet birthday party?
Plan on two to three pieces per human guest. Twelve to fifteen people is about two dozen. Thirty guests at a dog park party is closer to the Classic package at $225.
What designs do you make for a pet party?
Paw prints, bone shapes, collars, fish and yarn for cats, the pet's name hand lettered, and treats finished in the same colors as the party. Names and short phrases are hand decorated at no extra charge.
How far ahead should I order?
Two to three weeks. Pet parties are usually planned around a rescue anniversary or a birthday you already know, so book once the date is set. Text 718-715-5740 for short notice.
