Sprinkled Sweets makes sympathy and get well treats on Staten Island: hand decorated Oreos, pretzel rods, rice krispie treats and jumbo marshmallows in quiet colors, with a short message written on them. Two dozen runs $85 and the Petite package is $150. Pretzel rods start at $40 a dozen. Local pickup, and short notice dates are worth asking about.
Why treats instead of flowers
After a funeral or a hospital stay, a house fills up fast. Flowers arrive, they sit on the counter, and a week later somebody has to deal with them. Food gets used. A tray of decorated treats sits in the middle of the kitchen table where people are already standing around, and it gets picked at by neighbors, cousins, and the kids who nobody knows what to do with.
It also travels. A sympathy tray goes to the house, to the repast, or back to work with whoever is holding things together. Get well boxes go to a bedside, a nurses station, or home with someone who is recovering and tired of hospital food.
What a sympathy order usually looks like
Soft and simple. Ivory, soft white, sage green, dusty blue, navy. One or two colors, a light gold or white drizzle, nothing loud. Most people order two or three dozen across two or three treat types.
- Decorated Oreos in ivory and gold, some plain and a few with Thinking of You written on them.
- Pretzel rods in the same colors. They stand up in a jar and hold the display together.
- Rice krispie treats because they are the ones people actually eat standing up.
- Jumbo marshmallows if you want a little more on the tray without a lot more cost.
If the family had a favorite color, or the person wore one team's colors every Sunday, use that instead. It reads warmer than anything neutral.
What a get well order usually looks like
The opposite. Brighter and a little silly on purpose. Yellow, coral, sky blue, sometimes a rainbow drizzle. Feel Better written across a few Oreos, the person's first name on a couple more. A dozen Oreos and a dozen pretzel rods packed in a box is a solid, easy gift that does not need a vase.
For a longer recovery, individually wrapped is the way to go. Each piece stays fresh on its own so nothing has to be finished in one sitting. See how long custom treats stay fresh for the details on that.
How much to order

What to write on them
Short beats clever. Thinking of You. With Love. Feel Better. Get Well Soon. A first name. An initial. Hand lettering is included at no extra charge, and it goes on custom Oreos the cleanest because the surface is flat.
For a memorial, some families ask for a photo of the person on a dozen Oreos. That is edible photo printing, it adds $10 to $15 a dozen, and an older printed photo works fine as long as you send me a clear picture of it.
Timing, and when you do not have time
The standard lead time is 2 to 3 weeks. These orders almost never come with 2 to 3 weeks. Text me at 718-715-5740 with your date anyway. Sympathy and get well requests are the ones I move things around for, and a smaller order of one or two dozen in simple colors is much easier to fit in than a full themed table. More on that in last minute treat orders.
How ordering works
- Send your details. Use the order builder, text 718-715-5740, or DM @sprinkledsweetsxo. Tell me the date, roughly how many people, and what you want written.
- I send a quote. You see the exact total before anything is due.
- A 50% retainer holds the date. Venmo, Zelle, or cash. The balance is due at pickup.
- Pick up on Staten Island. Everything is packed so it travels flat and nothing shifts on the way over.
Payment
Venmo at @jennine-pece, Zelle to 718-715-5740, or cash at pickup. A 50% retainer reserves your date and the rest is due when you pick up. See the full payment options.
