Sprinkled Sweets makes individually wrapped fundraiser treats on Staten Island for school bake sales, church events, sports team fundraisers and tricky trays. Pretzel rods are $40 a dozen and custom Oreos and rice krispie treats are $45 a dozen, so a treat that costs you $3.34 to $3.75 sells at a table for $3 to $5. Order two to three weeks ahead and pick up on Staten Island.
Why decorated treats sell better than a plate of brownies
A bake sale table is a wall of foil pans and paper plates. One tray of hand dipped pretzel rods in the school colors, bagged and tied with a ribbon, sells out first. It also lets you charge a real price. Nobody argues with $5 for a decorated treat in a sealed bag with the team name on it. They do argue with $5 for a cupcake on a napkin.
Every treat is wrapped and sealed, so it can sit out for four hours or go home in a backpack without anyone touching it.
What the numbers look like
Here is the math most Staten Island PTA and booster groups run:
- Pretzel rods: $40 a dozen in, which is $3.34 a piece. Sell at $5. That is $1.66 profit per rod, $20 a dozen.
- Custom Oreos: $45 a dozen in, $3.75 a piece. Sell at $5, or three for $10 as a bundle.
- Rice krispie treats: $45 a dozen. Kids grab these first, so price at $3 and move volume.
- Jumbo marshmallows: $45 to $55 a dozen by design. Best inside a $10 bundle, not sold alone.
Ten dozen pretzel rods is $400 out of pocket and $600 back at $5 each. If the upfront number worries your group, start at four or five dozen as the feature item and fill the rest of the table with donated home baking. The decorated treats pull people over. The brownies still sell once they are standing there.

What kind of fundraiser you are running
School bake sale or PTA table
School colors, the school name lettered on the Oreos, everything wrapped singly. Four to six dozen covers a morning drop off table. An evening event with a few hundred families wants ten dozen or more. For classroom counts, see back to school treats.
Sports team fundraiser
Team colors, jersey numbers, mascot printed on. These sell at games and at the snack stand. See sports team treats for roster counts.
Church or parish event
Feast days, communion breakfasts, tricky trays and parish festivals all run on volunteer tables. Ivory and gold or the parish colors keep it appropriate. Wrapped treats also work as raffle basket filler.
Charity walk or fundraiser dinner
A ribbon color with a name or a date lettered on makes it personal, and people buy for the reason more than the treat. Two dozen as a donor thank you, or a bigger count sold at the event.
Getting it right the first time
- Pick two colors and stick to them. One palette looks organized and sells better than a rainbow.
- Price in bundles. Three for $10 moves more than $4 each and makes change easier for volunteers.
- Order to sell out. Leftovers are the only way a bake sale loses money. Under order the first time, go bigger next event.
- Take Venmo at the table. Half of a Staten Island bake sale now pays by phone.
- Put a sign on the tray. Name the item and the price. People will not ask, they will just walk past.
Timing and pickup
Two to three weeks ahead is the target. Fall is the busiest fundraiser stretch on Staten Island between football season, tricky trays and holiday craft fairs, so book as soon as your committee sets the date. Everything is made fresh close to your event and picked up locally the day before. Sooner than two weeks, read how last minute orders work or just text and ask.
How ordering works
- Send your details. Use the order builder, text 718-715-5740, or DM @sprinkledsweetsxo with the date, the organization, your colors, and how many pieces you plan to sell.
- I send a quote. You see the exact total before anything is due, which is what your treasurer needs anyway.
- A 50% retainer holds the date. Venmo, Zelle, or cash. The balance is due at pickup.
- Pick up on Staten Island. Trays are packed so nothing shifts on the ride to the event.
Payment
Venmo at @jennine-pece, Zelle to 718-715-5740, or cash at pickup. A 50% retainer reserves your date and the rest is due when you pick up. See the full payment options.
